UPDATE: Webtalk gained over 10,000 users in its first 24 hours post pre-launch
On Tuesday, Webtalk.org, a Facebook and LinkedIn alternative in Pre-Launch, released its $10,000 cash “Friends that Fund” contest. The terms are simple; if you Pre-Register for Webtalk you will earn one (1) entry in the contest. You can also earn one (1) additional entry for every person you refer to the Pre-Launch using your Webtalk profile URL. There is no limit to the amount of entries you can acquire, and one random winner will be drawn within the next twelve months. The more entries you have, the better your chances are to win the $10,000 cash grand prize.
Webtalk is looking to become a viable alternative to Facebook and Linkedin by providing enhanced privacy, sharing and collaboration features to its members. Webtalk says, “Professionals and students will use Webtalk to connect, share and collaborate privately.”
Webtalk also plans to be the first major social SaaS (Software as a Service) Company to offer a residual commission affiliate program. They have built an ad network platform, called SocialCPA™, that allows affiliate publishers to run Webtalk ads on their websites, blogs and social networks to drive traffic. If the traffic converts to memberships, Webtalk gives the affiliate publisher credit for that member for life. Affiliates will earn a 10% commission on all revenues generated from the members within their book of business. This includes advertisements, subscriptions, classified listings and more.
Webtalk has also developed an advertising program called Webtalk Discover, which is similar to Groupon. Advertisers will be able to choose between pay per click ads, pay per impression ads and cost per action daily deal ads with the Discover program. The Webtalk Discover program will offer exclusive vouchers to its members that allow them to save 30% - 90% on local and internet deals. If you are a SocialCPA affiliate, you will earn a commission every time a member in your book of business purchases one of these deals.
As if all of above things haven’t intrigued you enough, Webtalk also has a fantastic philanthropic mission to donate 10% of all profits to charity.
