700 arrested after protest on NY's Brooklyn Bridge

Protesters speaking out against corporate greed and other issues in New York City are maintaining their presence in Manhattan's Financial District even after more than 700 of them were arrested during a march on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The group Occupy Wall Street has meetings and forums planned for Sunday at Zuccotti Park, where people have been camping out for nearly two weeks.

On Saturday afternoon, a trek to Brooklyn turned chaotic when some protesters went on the bridge roadway and were arrested. Some protesters said police lured them onto the roadway, but police said no one was tricked into being arrested.

Police said the majority of those arrested were given citations for disorderly conduct and were released.
